a relay race, a board game, builing a fort for the barbies, a scavenger hunt( make it easy)something. If you do come across this type of boy (and hopefully you do not) have some sort of special back up boy activity that he can be part of. So keep an eye out for it you wouldn't want it to ruin your daughters day. As a former preschool teacher I do have to warn you that although a lot of boys have no problem playing with "girly" toys and dolls you may run across a boy that has been taught that it is NOT OK to play with these things =( and if his comments start to spiral you will have the entire group of boys not wanting to play. I like the idea of having some of the G I Joe or rescue hero toys for the boys to play with and men clothing for dress up.

You might think about making the favors, hats, and gift bags that would be for the boys, boy related, and depending on how many or if you do games, maybe a game or two related also to a boy theme, or "unisex"(Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Twister, toss rings, etc.). I really appreciate all your advice on this site. It was so cool! So, thank you for all your suggestions. You cold even go to the fabric store and use pieces of tooling. It was awesome! If anyone wants a picture, let me know because it was SO much easier than trying to make the frosting look perfect. Then we put a lei around the bottom of the cake, on top of the cake platter. Then we covered up the opening with Barbie's dress, which just happened to match the tutu. It worked great! We put it over the cake and then stuck Barbie through the center. She suggested that we cut it a little and put it over the cake. I thought we were doomed, but my sister saved the day! She had bought my daugter a little purple sparkly tutu at the dollar store. It kept dripping and melting onto the cake platter. I was having the hardest time getting the frosting to look good because it was so hot outside, and in the house. The cake turned out SO fabulous! We did the Barbie cake where you use the cake as her dress. (We chose Barbie the Island Princess as the theme.) The boys and girls loved being blindfolded and spun around and had fun seeing who put the tiara on the closest. Everyone came dressed up and had so much fun. We had plastic swords and crowns for the boys and tiaras for the girls. We had so much fun! Thank you for the suggestion of doing princesses and knights. Hi Moms!
